FAQ

Common questions

Everything about how Brieft works for creators, editors and agencies.

What is Brieft?

add

Brieft is a content production hub where creators brief their editors, get finished cuts back, review and approve them, publish to every platform, and track performance. Every brand is managed on one board.

What is a brand set?

add

A brand set is one brand’s workspace inside Brieft, with its own board, footage, assets, connected social accounts, captions, and analytics. Your plan includes a number of sets, and you can add more brands any time.

Do my editors and clients pay?

add

No. Editors and view-only clients are unlimited on every plan, and you’re only billed by the number of brand sets. Editors get a streamlined feed for claiming and delivering work, and clients review through a no-login link.

Which platforms can I publish to?

add

You can publish straight from a card to YouTube (Shorts), TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Pinterest, with Snapchat supported too, and no downloading files. Each post can have per-platform captions, covers and options.

How do editors get their work?

add

Editors are notified on the platform they choose, like Slack, Telegram or WhatsApp, with the brief, the footage and a due date. They open it in a tap, download the footage as a single zip, and deliver the finished cut back.

Is there a free trial?

add

A 14-day trial is planned for every plan, with no long contracts, so you can cancel any time. Self-serve sign-up and billing are rolling out, and in the meantime you can get in touch to get set up.

Who is Brieft for?

add

Brieft is for creators who work with editors, and for agencies running content for multiple brands. Creators assign and approve, editors produce, and clients can review, each with their own tailored view of the same work.

How does the workflow work?

add

Each video is a card that moves across the board: unassigned, open, briefed, editing, delivered, ready to post, then published. You brief and assign, the editor cuts and delivers, you review and approve, then publish, all in one place.

Can clients review videos without an account?

add

Yes. You send a private, no-login share link for a single card. Depending on the access you set, clients can watch the cut, leave timestamped and voice comments, update the brief, upload files, or approve, and nothing else in your workspace.

What editing can I do inside Brieft?

add

Editors cut in their own tools and deliver back. Inside Brieft you can trim and auto-cut a finished video into social clips, arrange clips on a timeline, add burned-in captions with pro style presets, and pick or generate a cover and thumbnail.

What analytics do I get?

add

Per-video, per-platform analytics covering views, likes, comments, shares, saves and reach. They show on the card, on a workspace analytics page, and on the client’s review link. Numbers appear a few hours after a video goes live.

Can I upload my own footage or use Google Drive links?

add

Brieft stores and transcodes footage so it’s instantly playable, and you can also work from Google Drive links. Managed upload for new workspaces is rolling out, and Drive links work as a bring-your-own-storage option on lower tiers.

How much does Brieft cost?

add

Pricing scales with the number of brand sets. It’s proposed at Starter £19, Growth £45 and Scale £99 per month, with extra brand sets around £12 each. Editors and clients are always unlimited. Final pricing is being confirmed ahead of launch.

Does Brieft integrate with the tools I already use?

add

Brieft connects to Trello with two-way sync, works with Google Drive, notifies editors on WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS, and can sync capture footage from Reclipt and Cuedeck. Admins can also get workspace alerts in Telegram or Slack.
